Another Nissan landmark will formally open to the
public today and is bound to become one of the popular landmarks
in the highly commercialized and urbanized City of Mandaluyong:
Nissan Shaw Center.
Nissan Shaw Center’s opening as a dealership
demonstrates the faith of Lica Management and Holdings, Inc.
towards the Nissan brand, even with the uncertain political
situation prevailing nowadays.

“This new Nissan dealership strategically located near high-end urban
enclaves like Wack Wack Subdivision, White Plains, Corinthian Gardens,
Little Baguio and Greenhills, and we at NMPI (Nissan Motor Philippines,
Inc.) strongly believe it will become very popular dealership in that
area,” explained Dennis Chang, AVP for Marketing and Sales at NMPI. Nissan
Shaw Center is the third Nissan dealership Lica Management and Holdings is
opening, joining the very successful Nissan Southwoods and Nissan Westgate
Alabang. All three dealerships are spearheaded by its General Manager Mr.
Doroteo “Tey” Sornet and are supported by the Chairman, Mr. Felix Limcaoco
Jr. and Mr. Felix Limcaoco III, President and Managing Director.
Sustaining Nissan Shaw’s daily operation is Ms. Anna Tanhueco, Assistant
Gen. Manager.
The dealership started receiving orders for Nissan vehicles (when
it was still under the management of Nissan Westgate) last March 30 and
started offering after-sales services in June 1.
Nissan Shaw Center is envisioned to follow the lead of Nissan
Westgate and Nissan Southwoods in providing excellent sales and
after-sales service. For starters, Nissan Shaw Center has has over 3,000
square meters of space housing, among others, 25 service bays, of which 12
are for body repair and painting. Nissan Shaw Center can service up to 50
vehicles at any given time. It is one of the five Nissan dealers in the
country that can service the 350Z, Nissan’s popular super sports car.
“Nissan Westgate emerged number one in customer satisfaction in
Metro Manila as of June this year based on the surveys conducted by NMPI
on Nissan dealerships. This is no small feat since Nissan Westgate will be
celebrating only its 2nd year of operations on August,” Mr. Sornet
explained.
Likewise, Nissan Southwoods emerged number two in customer
satisfaction among provincial dealers during the same period.
The opening of Nissan Shaw Center as a dealership, or its starting
independent operations from Nissan Westgate, demonstrates its owners have
absolute faith in the Nissan brand, whose resurgence in the Philippines
and worldwide can no longer be stopped. NMPI sold 2,460 units during the
first half of the year, or a 19% increase. This demonstrates the Nissan
brand is gaining better acceptance in the Philippines.
“The launching of Nissan Shaw Center is very timely even with the
present political situation, because there is no stopping the resurgence
of the Nissan brand in the Philippines. We congratulate Lica Management
and Holdings for their decision to launch Nissan Shaw Center as a
dealership,” Mr. Chang said.
